MAKER :   Venture by H. M. Slater of Sheffield, England.

PATTERN :   Single blade jack knife.

CLOSED LENGTH :   3 5/8th inches long.

HANDLES :   Stag with no cracks and no chips. Bolsters are grooved and fancy.

TANG STAMPS :   The mark side of the tang is stamped VENTURE (over) H.M.SLATER (over) SHEFFIELD. The pile side of the tang is stamped MADE IN (over) SHEFFIELD (over) ENGLAND.

CONDITION :   Mint; Never carried, used, sharpened or cleaned. 

BOX:   None

DAMAGE :   None

AGE :   I exchanged emails with an employee of the maker and he said this pattern was made before his employment with Slater began which was 26 years ago. I believe this knife was made in the 1980s.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN :   England

BLADE WEAR :   None

SHIELD AND BLADE ETCH :   There is no shield and the blade is etched VENTURE.

SNAP :   Excellent, opening and closing.
