TOTAL NUMBER OF KNIVES :  1

PATTERN :   This is a big hunting knife that is Henckels pattern number 2107 and I hate to describe it as a folding hunter because it is nothing like the traditional folding hunter pattern.  There is a spear blade that locks, a saw blade, a gutting blade and all are stainless.

CLOSED LENGTH :   4½ inches long.

HANDLES :   Beautiful old stag that is heavily textured.  There is one small flake on the barehead end and it can be seen in the photos.

TANG STAMPS :   None

CONDITION :   Mint or at least near mint.

BOX:   None

DAMAGE :   Only the small handle flake.

AGE :   1731 to present. Since stainless first came into wide use in 1919 according to Levine, it was clearly after that.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN :   Germany

BLADE WEAR :   None

SHIELD AND BLADE ETCH :   There is no shield and the spear blade is etched JA HENCKELS (over) FRIODUR, followed by the TWINS Logo, followed by SOLINGEN (over) GERMANY, followed by 2107.

SNAP :   The spear blade locks tightly when opened and closes with a snap, the gutting and saw blades both have very good snap, opening and closing.
