5 1/8" closed. Tang stamped "Townsend". Circa 1848-1873. Excellent stag scales, locks up with minimal movement, snaps shut.on short hairline at the rocker pin on the front side. Does not even extend to the edge of the handle. All iron hardware, superb old knife from a very rare maker
