ADDITIONAL INFO: The FS II was introduced in 1972. They were made in Solingen Germany the first year and in 1973 the production was moved to Portland OR. I think they were discontinued in about 1995. Being from Oregon and having managed a cutlery store in the 1980s and early 1990s approximately 40 miles from the Gerber factory I have seen, sold and sharpened a lot of Gerber knives. There is something iconic about the Folding Sportsman series of knives; to me they are the knife that comes to my mind when I think of a Gerber pocketknife. It is especially true up the Gerber’s with stag handles. They did some very nice stag handles on their knives! I have both the FS I and the FS II and I EDC both on a fairly regular basis. The design of the folding sportsman fits very well in my hand and I really like them a lot. Here’s your chance to add one to your pocket, in the very difficult to locate , stag handle.
