ADDITIONAL INFO: The 34OT Middleman was introduced to the Schrade catalog in 1964. The last catalog Schrade printed was in 2004 and the 34OT was listed in the catalog as well. I think beyond a doubt the 34OT was Schrades best-selling medium-sized stockman knife. The carbon steel blades with the nice looking and nearly indestructible Delrin handles has made for a great combination that has lasted for 40 years before the company was forced into bankruptcy in 2004. Since about 2006 it has been copied in China, though I don’t think it’s as good a quality knife.
This is the original, the real deal I do not believe this knife has been sharpened, the blade etch is still feel the original to me, though the master blade may have been used slightly. I say this only because it does not seem to have as many of the original factory burrs on the blade as the other two blades.
