ADDITIONAL INFO:            The HS-1 was made from about 1972 to 1974; these dates are approximate. This Honesteel came from my personal collection. I have acquired it about 10 years ago when I traded for a wall hanging Schrade display case. The case came from a Schrade dealer in British Columbia. It was one delivered to him in the latter part of 1974, after Schrade Walden changed their name to Schrade. The display did not come with sheaths, but fortunately I was able to find a new sheath that is the proper sheath for this Honesteel. If memory serves me correctly there were three variations in the design of the Honesteel as well as the sheath. This Honesteel is designed with the larger hole in the steel so that the snap can set in the hole when the sheath is snapped into place so that it can be used as a handle for the Honesteel. Sorry, I do not have a box or the paperwork for this Honesteel.
