The Knife has a single cutting blade and 3 other tool blades with 5 tools. The Knife has a used and sharpened carbon steel clip point main blade. The front face has scratches from use and only 3 or 4 light pits. The rear face has scratches from use and then just a few very scattered light pits. Stamped on the front tang is HAMMER (over) BRAND along with the Hammer Brand arm and hammer logo. Stamped on the back tang is the NYKC Model No. of BB1. The clip blade appears to be about 3/16”-1/4” short as it lies in the frame. The next blade, on the same pivot end as the clip blade, is the carbon steel screwdriver combo blade. This blade has a flat blade screwdriver on the tip of the blade and a wire scraper below that. This blade has just a little staining and some micro-pits. Stamped on the bottom of this blade is NEW YORK (over) KNIFE CO (over) WALDEN. On the opposite end of the frame is the other carbon steel combo blade which consists of a can opener and a crown cap bottle opener. Both blade faces have just a little light staining. And on this same pivot end is a Harrison leather punch. Stamped on the back side of the punch is PAT. NO. 701,878. This patent number was issued to Owen L. Harrison in 1902. The convex side of the punch is brightly polished and mostly clean while the back side has some staining. All the blades have excellent to hard snap on both open and close. The Knife has an excellent set of dark brown jigged bone stag scales. They’re free of cracks, splits or missing chips. There is an easy open on the top of the front scale for easier access to the screwdriver combo blade nail pull. There is also a notch on the front scale to allow the tab on the can opener to seat flush in the frame. There is a brightly polished German Silver oval shield on the front scale and stamped within it is a depiction of Buffalo Bill Cody. There are three brass handle pins in each scale. The Knife has brightly polished German Silver single flute and rounded bolsters. They are all free of any dents or dings and have only some light scratches. The original German Silver or steel bail is still attached to the bolsters. The Knife has brightly polished brass liners with a heavy duty bottom center liner. There are two heavy duty steel back springs and both are free of any cracks or breaks. Both springs continue to perform the functions they were designed to perform.
