Waterville Cutlery Co. Conn. Ebony Teardrop Jack Knife
This Waterville Cutlery Co. ebony teardrop jack measures approximately 3 7/16 inches closed length. It has a long matchstrike pull on the main clip blade along with some serious swedges. This knife is in used condtion and the main blade is a bit short from sharpening. (perhaps 1/4 inch or a bit less- see photos) Both blades have half stops and open and close with excellent snap and no blade play whatsoever. The bolsters and bomb shield are nickel silver. Pins are brass and liners are steel. The handles are a deep dark ebony. This little knife exudes old time quality. Waterville Cutlery Co. was in operation from c1890-1913 per Goin's. They really don't make them like this anymore. It would make a great addition to any antique knife collection.
