ADDITIONAL INFO: This is a Robeson brand TL-29. The nomenclature stands for; Tool, Lineman, number 29. The nomenclature comes originally from the U.S. Army Signal Corps. The basic concept of the knife goes back to World War I and got the size and locking mechanism the knife has changed the basic design of a spear blade and a screwdriver blade remains consistent. The TL-29 was used extensively in World War II and the Korean War usually having TL-29 stamped into the wooden handle as it is with this knife. By the time of the Vietnam War most of the handles were composition handles, which were less affected by the heat and humidity of Southeast Asia.
