Hawk Bill with Red Oak Handles
I built this Hawk Bill knife from parts I bought here on AAPK. The parts I am told may have come from the Queen Factory in the 1950's or there about. The pivot pin is stainless steel. It has great snap in both directions with half stop. The handle material is red oak and is is pinned with brass pins. The blades have one or two carbon spots. I did not put and edge on this knife. I made one for myself and it takes and holds a decent edge. If you want an new old school Hawk Bill this is it! Since the edge was not put on at the factory it will take a little more work thatn just running it over a sharpening stone. I left it that way so the user can set what ever edge angle that they want.
