ADDITIONAL INFO:   A friend mine sent me this bear blade with no guard, no sheath, nothing but the bear blade still lacking its final grind to sharpen it. It sat around my shop for a while and finally I decided this year I was going to complete it for the Oregon show, though it wasn’t quite finished on the show got here. I made the guard out of 1/8” brass bar; the handle is stabilized California Buckeye burl, with mosaic pins and a mosaic lanyard tube. I think this is a good solid knife that would make someone a fine skinning knife or an excellent addition to a collection. Think about it too long, it’s priced to sell quickly!
