Vintage Colonial SHUR SNAP Yellow Bowtie
Vintage Colonial SHUR SNAP yellow bowtie switchblade. This knife was made by the Colonial Knife Co of Providence, RI in the early to mid 1950s. It's a generation 3 knife with small domed button and bolsters. It was designated a model 1800CB and measures 4" closed and 7 1/4" open with brass liners. The blade is nearly full and has a dull shine with scratches and some light pits, but overall a nice blade. The bolsters are in good shape, as are the yellow plastic scales. The back scale shows just a little shrinkage. The knife functions well with the blade tip at the liners when closed, strong snap and good lockup. The button presses a little hard on this one and the safety works, so you don't have to worry if you're planning to carry it in your pocket. Nice old bowtie switchblade! Money back guarantee if not happy with it, including return shipping.
