ADDITIONAL INFO: I do not collect Utica Knives, I don’t know much about them and I’m not even sure I have a book that has much information about them. Judging from the handle material and the overall construction of this knife, I would say this knife it was probably made before World War II. One source said that they had mostly dropped the Utica name after World War II and use the Kutmaster name. The tang stamp with the arched upper row certainly appears to be an older knife. The knife has great walk and talk, very hard snap and I cannot find a crack in the bone anywhere even with a 15 power magnifier. Beautiful old bone on this knife, it won’t last long!
