It’s the same pattern that, but with different internal design. It appears to me that Imperial Schrade was experimenting with new ways of making lightweight knives like the shell handle knives of long ago. These knives are lighter in weight than the original Lock-Back Sportsman knives made in the US and they have less finish work done to the. This type construction was obviously done as a cost-cutting measure to hit a certain price point, yet both of these knives appeared to be solid user knives.
