Webster Marble being an inventor supreme, was allways trying to come up with the perfect outdoor tool. The same way he invented a small axe...the safety axe...that could do the work of a large knife...he tried too make a large knife that would do the work of an axe...his answer was the Trailmaker !!! He was quoted as saying: there is no one cutting tool that will serve as many purposes as the Trail Maker...He came up with the name TrailMaker from a then common practice of marking trails by cutting bark off the side of trees and following the marked trees out !!!

Knife is 15" OAL with a 10" blade

Knife is stamped: Marble's with the Banner stamp...I believe this is a transition model made in 2005 with the etched stamp before Marble's added a USA to their stamp

Blade is a massive .250 thousands thick... a full 1/4" thick of high carbon blade steel !!!

Handle is Stacked Leather with an alumnium pommel...Marble's was the very 1st knife co. in the USA to bring the stacked leather handle into widespread use !!!

Comes with its Original Marble's stamped deep oil tanned leather sheath...sheath has a couple oil spots on it that can be seen in pics
