Belgian M1889 Bayonet
Belgian M1889 bayonet, used with the 7.65 mm. Mauser M1889 rifle. Belgium had a small army at the turn of the century and these bayonets were mostly used up in the First World War. The M1889 bayonets were replaced by the M1916s, which remained in service until Germany overran the Low Countries in 1940. 11 3/4" blade 16 3/4" overall no scabbard
