GUARD:   Nickel silver (judging from the slightly tarnished look and the fact that it is nonmagnetic)

SHEATH:   Quality factory leather sheath

CONDITION:   Near mint

DAMAGE:   Aside from a ding on the tang, where it appears they checked the Rockwell hardness, and a little bit of tarnish on the nickel silver rivets I don’t see any damage to this knife there is a little scrape on the sheath at the tip on the front side. I don’t see any other damage to this knife or sheath.

BLADE WEAR:   None, it appears to me that it still has the factory edge though it might have been lightly used.

ADDITIONAL INFO:   According to my notes I bought this knife unused at a secondhand store in 2007. It appears to have been unused or at the most very lightly used. I don’t see any sign of it having been sharpened. I am including a 1973 Imperial Knife Company informational flyer on this knife. The flyer is for informational purposes and does not come with the knife.

Notice the large cut out for your index finger and the serrated spine for your thumb to provide extra control when using this knife. I don’t know how long this knife was made, but it’s not very common. I do know that Sears ordered the same pattern and called it the “Craftsman Trophy Skinner.” Here’s a chance to add this unusual piece to your collection.
