ADDITIONAL INFO: The needs work was introduced in Kershaws 2007 catalog, (see last picture it shows this knife on the catalog page). It was discontinued several years ago. I purchased this in a local store about 40 miles from the Kershaw factory. The knife was attached to a display with zip ties. The clerk cut the zip ties for me and gave me the box for the knife. I see no damage to this knife; it was in an enclosed case and not subject to handling by customers. Check the pictures to see for yourself. The Needs Work is a great knife for tough cutting chores. I have one on top of my workbench where I can access it easily and they use it on a regular basis. This knife has great steel! I purchased my knife when they first came out in 2007 and I have never sharpened it, though I probably stropped the edge a time or two. If you need a hard work knife this knife is a good one! If you need one for you display this one is great!
