ADDITIONAL INFO:   I don’t know a lot about this knife except that Helle Bros. was a manufacturer of professional horse shoeing equipment for farriers. It does have some surface pitting on the blade, but it is still a usable knife is someone wanted to sharpen it. I have not seen a farrier shoe a horse since I was a kid on the ranch, but this is the type of knife the farrier would use to trim the hoof before shoeing the horse and also to trim away hoof on a horse that had been shoed for a while. A nice American made knife for your collection.
