Official BSA #1494 Remington #4783 Boy Scout Knife 3-Blade Circa 1934-1939 (36A)
This fixed-price sale with the ability to make fair offers was valued based on the excellent grade of this knife and recent eBay sales for the same knife if available. This knife is referenced in Ed Holbrook's book 'Official Scout Blades' and Joseph Kerr's book '600 Scout Knives' in the following manner; Holbrook #R7A, Kerr #REM19BR and supported by the accompanying images.
This knife is 3.50" closed with a factory straight correct and removable bail. The long nail pull unetched main blade opens firmly with a good snap, has no half-stop, and virtually zero blade play when fully extended. The other two blades operate as designed. The brown/yellow jigged bone handles have a stable pin crack on the left mark side and the right pile side (same pin), and the liners, bolsters, and steel springs are in remarkable condition given the age of this knife.
The price paid includes shipping with full insurance to protect your purchase against loss or damage. This knife comes from a smoke and pet-free home and will be properly packaged with tracking numbers provided via AAPK. There are no returns with this knife as all sales are final so please ask all questions and requests for additional images before making and executing a buying decision. Please know that this knife is also available for sale outside of AAPK and that this listing could end anytime.
I will be listing a lifetime collection of Scout knives in the coming weeks on AAPK so please save me as a Seller and check back often for new additions. I have official Boy, Cub, Girl, and Campfire Girl folding knives that span over 100 years and everything will be priced to sell with fair offers considered. Thank you for your kind consideration.
