This classic Buck 315 Rigging knife comes with an Unusual History of world travel on a Soviet Submarine. The knife is a pre-1985 Buck Rigging knife tang stamped BUCK USA 315. Due to its unique history I was compelled to Immortalize it. I removed the back spring and file worked both the back spring and blade then fitted it with Siberian Mammoth Ivory Handle scales. I then Scrimshawed a Sea Serpent(to represent the Submarine it was carried on) and an Air Craft carrier as the serpent's intended victim on 1 side. The opposite side is Scrimshawed with the Number of the Sub and scrollwork. The blade and bolsters were lightly buffed in the process. I was careful not to remove the original markings or blemishes that I felt were part of it's unique history.
