Larger Pictures / More Details

Folk's, this is without a doubt, my personal favorite folding knife of all time !!! Folding Hunter 5165 pattern, Stag scales, and for what this knife represents.

When you read the blade etch: "The American Spirit" think about it. From our Independence in 1776 to the westward expansion of our country, to all the 100's of thousands of Americans that have gave their life for the USA.   NO other country in the world can ever match us in one in one catorgory that rises above all: "The American Spirit"

This is the Case XX 1976 Bicentennial Pocket Knife. The brass tag on the display base says this

Knife is 5 1/4" OAL closed, with a 3 3/4" blade

Blade is stamped: CASE XX Stainless over USA on the front, 5165 on the off side. Blade has a gorgeous bright Red & Blue etch that reads: The American Spirit

This is a serial numbered piece, this one has serial # 6441 on it.  10,000 were made in 1976

Scales are Genuine Stag, nice old yellow color on em, good roughed out stag bark, with some very nice deep grooves on the back side

Bolsters are "Engraved" very deep on all sides, with the front bolster having the 1776-1976 engraved also in it. I just Love these old Case knives with Engraved Bolsters. They really make it look like a fine piece of jewlry.

Comes with Original cherry wood display base, and Original glass top. Ya don't see to many of these offered with the Original glass top. Base still has the Original Case sticker on the bottom

Knife is Near Mint condition, never used, carried, etc. only set in in case. The stamp on the shield looks to be a little light right at the bottom of the circle around Case

Please Supersize the pics on the next page folk's. This knife and what it represents to me, is worth a look just for that !!!

Item # 22195 - CUSTOM CROWN STAG 2 KNIFE PIGGYBACK SET W/ SHEATH - SCRIMSHAW- BEAUTIFUL !!!
5_22195_1257280594_1.JPG
Larger Pictures / More Details

Folk's, I have just a over the top beautiful set of custom made knives for ya here that would make a great addition to any ones knife collection

These knives were bought about 13 yrs ago down in the Ozarks in Missouri

They were made by Ken Richardson, yrs ago when he was using old tempered saw mill blades to make his knife blades from.

These knives are like new, never used or carried, only admired

This is a piggyback, twin finn type set of custom made knives

The large knife is 11 1/2" OAL with a 5 3/4" blade

The smaller knife is 8" OAL with a 3 1/8" blade

Both blades are made of old saw mill blades and have a beautiful "Jeweled" grind on the top portion of the blades which can easily be seen in the pics

Handles are beautiful "Crown Stag" with gorgeous buttons on the end. They have that candle dripping look to em that gives the ends just tons of character and are 1 of a kind

Both ends of the Crown Stag are polished and have a hand done scrimshaw done on em. One is of a Elk, the other of a Deer. Has the scrimshanders initials on them. You can see em real good in the pics.

The sheath is ultra thick leather and is hand tooled from top to bottom. Thick rawhide lacing binds it together, as do the heavy brass rivets.  It has the tip of a deer antler attached to the sheath. Holster type loop on top for very comfotable carry. It also has a rawhidw leg tie at the tip of the sheath. Very stiff and top notch made custom sheath.

With the Crown Stag, Custom sheath, Scrimshaw, this set of knives has so many collectible assets to it folk's, I truly believe this is an over the top set of knives. This is one I never thought I would part with, but age and other priorities, I am giving someone else a chance to own it

Larger Pictures / More Details

Well folk's, I do not say rare to much on any of my knives, but this little baby here is just that, Rare !!!

I bought this knife many yrs ago from its Original Owner, a really good Ol fella from The Lone Star State that was set up at a knife show I went to in Tennessee. The pommel had dings in it and I got a lotta laughs as he told me the story of his grandson using it to bang on his bike pedal with.

This is a 1932-1940 Tested Era Case XX Stag 557 hunter

Knife is 6 7/8" OAL

Blade is 3 5/8"

Stag scales are gorgeous old yellow with great stag bark

Item # 21489 - CASE XX STAG KODIAK HUNTER - NIB - W/ SHEATH - TRANSITION MODEL W/ SUPER STAG !!!
5_21489_1253553410_1.JPG
Larger Pictures / More Details

Folk's, I am gonna tell ya what I believe this Kodiak here is, then if anyone out there has a comment that seems to fit, I will add it to the description.

It has a small Case XX only stamp on the front and nothing on the off side. The stamp itself is consistent with the 1980 stamp. But, it has no dots. Bradley Wood, who covers Case fixed blades in the 6th edt. of Sargent's guide, talks of a small Case stamp in 1979 & a small stamp in the USA era. I believe this Kodiak to be a "transition" model between 1979 & 1980 and was stamped with the small Case stamp with the lightning S in the word Case, but no dots.

This is the Case Stag Kodiak hunter

Knife is 10 3/4" OAL

It has a 5 3/4" blade withthe Kodaik bear etch

Blade stamped: Case XX

The stag is thick & just gorgeous !!! Look at the side view of the Stag in the pics on the next page. The Stag has a curl in it just before the brass guard that just fits your hand oh so well

Comes to ya unused in the Case XX box, with its Original Case XX sheath like new

Please supersize the pics on the next page for a close-up look at this most unusual Kodiak

Item # 21464 - MARBLES DALL DEWEESE ORIGINAL PATTERN - COCOBOLO SCALED HUNTER - 1 OF 425 SCARCE !!!
5_21464_1253357668_1.JPG
Larger Pictures / More Details

I got a real special one for ya here folk's, and it is very scarce being 1 of 425 made with this blade etch in the world !!!

1500 of these were to be made in 1999 for the Fred Trost Pracital Sportsman show to support public television. They made 1000 of them with the shows logo & Fred's signiture on them. The run concluded with 425 more being made like this one

Dall DeWeese was a world reknown hunter from Canon City, Colorado that often hunted with Teddy Roosevelt. He contacted Webster Marble with what he thought would be the perfect design for a hunting knife, thus the Dall DeWeese pattern was developed

These were designed by master knife maker Mike Stewart, when he headed the Marbles knife division. He replicated the Original Dall DeWeese 1907 pattern in the handle, which has the Choil built into the wood slabs and tang. Check out the thickness of the scales, you have great control while using this knife !!!

Knife was made in 1999 & is stamped: Marbles, Gladstone, Mich. USA

OAL is 7 1/2" with a 4" blade

Blade is the old Marbles 52/100B High Carbon Ball Bearing Steel that will take on a razor edge. 52/100 steel knives took 3 1st, 1 2nd, and 1 5th finish in the ABS sponsored World Champion cutting contest

Scales are Cocobolo Wood with full exposed tang, and very thick. CoCobolo wood is the 2nd hardest wood in the world, and very durable

I have a really heavy leather rawhide laced sheath that you could cut down and retie that will fit this whole knife, handle and all. Snip it off and leave 2 holes to retie the rawhide.  I will ship you one of them with this knife.

Also comes in the old Marbles Bobcat box

When Mike Stewart was at Marbles folk's, they produced some of the best made knives in their storied histoy, and this is 1 of em. He currently runs Bark River Knives here in Michigan

The older Dall DeWeese knives are some of the most sought after by collectors. A Stag one like this from yrs past could fetch upwards of 1000 bucks. And these cocobolo scales on this knife are made identical to the old pattern, in thickness and size

Folk's, its my opinion that for a general purpose camp knife, guttin knife, and boneing knife if you process your own game as I do, you "Can Not" buy a better knife without going into the big buck customs, I put this knife in quality of steel, old 4 pin scales construction ahead of any other knife manufacturer in the USA for this price range

Please Supersize pics on the next page for a close-up look

NOTE: I have several of these knives availiable !!!  All knives are identical to this one, only difference is they have different serial numbers
