Item # 13461 - CASE " TESTED XX " SERIES MIDNIGHT BONE 6265 PATTERN W/ SHEATH - IN BOX - SCARCE !!!
Larger Pictures / More Details
Here's a scarce WR Case & Sons handle material that you just do not see much of folk's. Its called Midnight Bone, and it has the very labor intensive "TESTED XX" nickel silver inlay right into the bone scales. They made these scales back in 2003. They were a very short run then just faded out. With such value that the actual tested era knives bring, and the labor involved, its of my opinion that this series of knives will increase steadily in collector value over the yrs. If I can con a few more of this series knives from my good buddie Ham, I will get em up in the store here for ya, LOL This is the Midnight Bone 6265 Big folding hunter Knife is 5 1/4" in closed position Both blades are 4" in length Tang stamped Case XX with long tailed C with the 2003 marks, other blade has USA 6265 SS Bone scales are gorgeous, and have the "TESTED XX" inlay in them Comes with Original Case XX leather sheath and correct Case box. All are in new, never carried condition Please scroll down on next page and supersize the pics of this unique knife !!!

Larger Pictures / More Details
Folk's, I am pleased yet very saddened too offer this knife for sale The man's signature on the blade, "Fred Trost" died last year of a rare illness way before his time. Fred was the host for many years of the Practical Sportsman/Michigan Outdoors TV show on Public Television in the state of Michigan. He was witty, funny, yet brought so much practical information to the sports men & women in the state of Michigan. He fought goverment agencies statewide to give Michigan residents the right to bear arms and use those firearms in the field. If you watched his weekly show, you knew where the pearch & walleye were biting, where the biggest bucks were being seen, where the best small game hunting was going on etc. on his up to the minute guide report. He was a fighter supreme for the "Joe Lunchbucket" type sportsman & women. Fred, we miss ya !!! The knife is the Marbles Dall Deweese pattern. It was designed in 1907 by famed Canon City, Colorado big game hunter Dall DeWeese. He often hunted with president Teddy Roosevelt and all over the world Webster Marble produced this knife in his Gladstone, Michigan factory from 1907-1931. The old Dall DeWeese knives are very sought after, and can cost ya over a 1000 bucks Mike Stewart then replicated this pattern in 1999 while head of the Marbles Knife Division as a fundraiser for Fred's TV show The knife is 7 1/2" OAL with a 3 1/2" blade. Blade steel is the old 52/100 high carbon steel that will flat out take on a scary edge. It has a blade etch of a buck deer logo on it and Fred's signature. It also is etched Dall DeWeese - original 1902-1907 pattern. Marbles made 1000 with Freds signature on them, and 425 without his signature. This one is # 0049 Blade is stamped : Marbles, Gladstone, Mi. USA This knife is full tanged exposed construction, handles are beautiful CoCoBolo Wood, held on with the old 4 pinned construction. Just a great hunting knife design on this piece folk's Comes to ya mint with a tube type leather sheath with the Marbles logo stamped in it, in the old Marbles Bobcat box Not only does this knife pay tribute to a special fella folk's, its very well made the old Marbles way, with superior steel, and with its special hunting design, it would make a great hunting knife to use then pass of to the next generation of hunters in your family Scroll down on the next page for supersize pics & additional information, Thanks !!!

Folk's, I do not usually sell imported knives. I try to stick with USA only. But being a fixed blade lover, when I saw these I just had to pick up a couple sets. They would be a great set for the hunter, so you did not booger up your good knives, or for a young lad or lass just gettin into hunting This is a really cool set of Rough Rider knives and they are imported from china Both knives are full tang construction, have stainless steel blades, resin impregnated wood handles, stainless steel pins The skinner is 8 1/2" OAL and the smaller knife is 7 1/2" OAL. You have all you need to gut, skin, and cut up a large game animal such as deer, etc. They also come "very sharp" and are ready to go into the field for chores right now Handles have a cool brass shield shaped like the old long rifles of the 1750-1850 period. Both knives also have a blade etch that says Long Rifle Both knives come and fit into a really thick leather double sheath for carrying. The heavy duty strap on the back snaps loose so you do not have to undue your belt to put the sheath on it, real nice feature Knives and Sheath come to you new in the Long Rifle box All in all, I have to admit, I was very pleased with the workmenship in this set for the money. And I think it is a really cool hunting set, scroll down on the next page and see the pics and decide for yourself
