We have used this saw for several years and it is indispensable in the field during hunting season. It works really nice for splitting the pelvic bone and opening up the rib cage on a deer or other large game. It is a lot safer than trying to pull a sharp knife thru the rib cage, or pound your hand on the top of a knife blade trying to split the pelvic bone.
The length of this tool is 5 ½”. It is lightweight at 4 oz. The handle features a 4-finger, t-style grip for comfort and ease of sawing. The saw blade is made of hardened steel for durability. The special stopper on the end prevents the blade from exiting the bone during sawing, and pushes the gut out of the way to prevent puncturing. Comes with a camouflaged sheath for carrying into the field. Makes a great gift for your hunting friends.
