This is a Cold Steel OSS model sub-hilt fighter. This is the highly sought after, discontinued, American made Carbon V version, not the current issue imported stainless version. This knife features an 8 1/4" blade of Carbon V steel which is 3/16" thick and sharpened on both sides. The 5 1/8" Kraton handle has the sub-hilt feature, which gives tremendous grip security and purchase. This knife is lightening quick in the hand -- ideal for a fighter. Also very handy and useful for non-deanimation functions like survival and bushcraft. However, a soldier in a combat zone for instance would be very well served with this knife.
