Well folk's, I do not say rare to much on any of my knives, but this little baby here is just that, Rare !!!
I bought this knife many yrs ago from its Original Owner, a really good Ol fella from The Lone Star State that was set up at a knife show I went to in Tennessee. The pommel had dings in it and I got a lotta laughs as he told me the story of his grandson using it to bang on his bike pedal with.
This is a 1932-1940 Tested Era Case XX Stag 557 hunter
Knife is 6 7/8" OAL
Blade is 3 5/8"
Stag scales are gorgeous old yellow with great stag bark
Blade is stamped:Case w/ the long tail C underlining the whole CASE
The pommel is aluminum and has dings in it that should be visible in the pics
Blade is unused, but has some pitting on both sides. Also, some real fine spiderwebs on it, but retains most of its original finish
Comes with the Original old basketweave Case XX leather sheath, which has the longtail C, Case Tested XX stamp on the keeper strap button
I would say this knife grades Very Good condition at the least. Knife is tight from end to end and the sheath is also in wonderful shape
Please supersize the pics on the next page for a close-up of this great old Case 80 yr old knife !!!
