ADDITIONAL INFO:   I purchased this blank after the Camillus factory closed in 2007. The handles are made from Cocobolo wood. Cocobolo is a member of the rosewood family that has been used for knife handles for the last 150 years. The handles are attached with mosaic pins and glue. The glue prevents moisture from getting between the tang and handles and causing damage. The sheath is riveted and sewn, but has a small blemish in the leather in the front side.

BLADES: Carbon steel spear master and screwdriver/wire stripper blades. Master blade appears to still have the factory edge.

CONDITION: Very Good
DAMAGE: Some pitting on the spine of the main blade. Minot scuffs to handles & bolsters. It looks more like it sat in a drawer than rode in a pocket.

SNAP: Very strong on both blade. Half stops on both blades.


ADDITIONAL INFO:
This is an excellent example of a typical Mil-Spec type TL-29. Since it has the CAMCO tang stamp as opposed to the Camillus stamp, it is a more difficult knife to find. While not mint, this knife is in very good to excellent condition. It is suitable for display in a collection or to carry everyday and use as a tool.

ADDITIONAL INFO: This knife is new old stock from the Camillus sale of 2007. These knives are new in the box with Craftsman sharpening instructions, Care and Use instructions and Craftsman Warranty. The person I bought these from thought Schrade made them. However, when I got them and examined them I could see the pin-through-bolster construction indicative of Camillus. Schrade knives were made with the Swinden Key system, and this knife is obviously not made with the Swinden Key. This is an excellent knife for pocket or display.

This is a nice Camillus Stockman pattern, 3-3/4 inches closed. Handles are butter and molasses celluloid. The knife is used there is some scratching and spotting on the blades. The blades appear to be about 95% full. There is some pocket wear. An excellent addition to a Camillus collection or for every day carry. Carbon steel blades. Made in USA.
