Item # 18886 - HUBERTUS DAGGER Stag Handle |
Larger Pictures / More Details
|
Old Hubertus double-edged dagger. 10 inches overall length. Brass guard, stag handle with spacers and aluminum pommel. There is the slightest amount of play on the guard & pommel, but the stag seems solid. It came without a sheath. I know nothing about this old knife, except that it is a beauty! Please email me if you have any questions & I will answer them to the best of my ability.

Item # 18828 - KERSHAW 1320 |
Larger Pictures / More Details
|
This is a magnificent old Kershaw! This pattern was only made for a short time, 1991 to 1993, in limited numbers. This knife is very unusual in that it was made in Italy rather than Japan. Until rather recently most of Kershaw's knives were made in Japan, as were most of the knives in that era. It is 4-7/8 inches closed, with heavy brass bolsters and liners. This knife has been lightly used, but I think it still has the factory edge. It does not have a sheath, but as I recall they came in a presentation box and did not have a sheath. Unfortunately the box for this knife has been lost. This knife is in very good to excellent condition.
More pictures available on request.
Please note: There is a scratch showing on the blade in one of the pictures. The big scratch was on the glass of my scanner, it is not on the blade of the knife.

Item # 17200 - SUPER ERASER - The rust eraser for old knives |
Larger Pictures / More Details
|
The eraser with an abrasive compound in it. A great tool for removing rust and dirt from the tang of a knife so you can read the stamping. Also works great to remove rust spots from blades. As far as I can tell they are just like the old Sharpmaster brand erasers that were made by United Cutlery before they went out of business. I keep one in my truck for stopping at garage sales, flea markets, pawnshops and any other source of old knives I might happen to drive by. ********The Super Eraser works well to clean Crock Sticks and other ceramic sharpening stones.********* The Super Eraser is made in the USA. Note: Will come individually packaged in plastic zip lock bag. May not have label as shown in picture do to manufacturers change in packaging.

Item # 16919 - WALKER WAX |
Larger Pictures / More Details
|
Knife making is a combination of art, science, engineering and craftsmanship. Knife collecting can involve a substantial investment of time and money. Why trust the protection of your collection to a generic wax or polish? Walker Wax is specifically designed and formulated for the protection of knives.
Walker Wax is the best product I have found to date to protect old knives, production knives & custom knives. It is a blend of wax, fluids and hydrous magnesium silicate, the same mineral that Meerschaum pipes are made from.
This unique formulation produces a product that is a cleaning agent, polishing compound, corrosion preventative, and wax protection that is very lightly abrasive. A distinctive feature of Walker Wax is that it provides protection of your expensive knives from spittle. Have you ever noticed little tiny spots on your knives after a day or two laying on a table at a busy show? These spots are caused by spittle produced by you and your customers talking back and forth over the top of your knives. Walker Wax protects your knives from spittle spotting.
Walker Wax works great on wood, bone, metal, stone and plastic.
Apply lightly with a clean soft flannel cloth, rub if needed, smooth out, allow to dry, then buff with a passion. Looks great and protects your valuable investment.
Note: Walker Wax is not the product to remove scratches from blades, handles nor bolsters. It is not abrasive enough for that purpose. I used it quite successfully on knives that were covered with a smoky deposit from a house fire. I use it on all my custom work to protect them from fingerprinting.
