E.B. Sears Knife

Has anyone heard of a knife made by E.B.Sears. I have one and everyone wants to buy it. This knife has written on the blade,"Griffins Waterproofer"Pat'D Dec,6th '92. No. 487,562.

E.B. Sears was son of Henry Sears who ran big, well known company.
E.B.'s Griffin Waterproofer Pat'd Dec 6th '92 No. 487,502 was used for dynamite.

Cool knife pig1. ::tu:: Welcome to the site by the way. Great info savage1 ::nod:: . Is that notch at the base of the blade for wire stripping, cutting fuses etc.? :) s-k

Thanks all, great to be here. PA Knifes, left a link for me and after reading all the info I can speak with some kind of sense, now. The hole in the handle was were you would put a fuse and cap, used for explosives.
With the knife closed, one would push down on the blade and the nub you see on the blade would push and seal the cap to the fuse. Sounds scary to me. It was said this would seal and water proof the fuse and cap.
Again you all have been very helpful. thanks again, PA Knifes. Now to find a price guide with this knife in it.
