1977 Case trapper with scalloped or serrated spey blade

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

1977 Case trapper with scalloped or serrated spey blade

Post by Eye Brand Man »

I picked this up at the flea market the other day. I opened the clip blade an seen it was unused so I put it in the pile.Did not notice the Spey blade until I got home. Anybody know what's up with these? Have not been able to find anything about them. At first I thought maybe somebody did it. But on closer inspection its definitely factory job.

I ,ve never seen one but that doesn't mean much. The serrations look a little larger than normal. But who knows. ::shrug::
