If you rub the scales and it purrs it's a CAT-taraugus, Best Guess.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Has anyone here ever seen such a knife from Cattaraugus?

I don't know about the knife in the OP, but Robeson certainly made that pattern, as a pen knife, as a three blade whittler and in both pearl and bone.

The tangs would have most likely been marked, R.C. / CO.

I see no indication the OP knife was ever marked as a Robeson. I don't even think a broken die could have accounted for the differences, so it's something else.

Could be one of any number of companies that made this little pearl. If it were mine I'd want it to be a Central City.

I based my answer on how I imagined the abbreviation might be written.

Central City was a Knife Company. C.C.K.Co.?

Curtain and Clark was a Cutlery Company. C.C.C. Co.?

Canastota was a Knife Company. C.K.Co.?

Canton was a Cutlery Company that dealt predominantly in celluloid picture handle knives. C.C.Co.?

Carrier was a Cutlery Company just as Cattaraugus was. C.C.CO.?
