Empire Citrus Knife

Post by gsmith7158 »

Here's an unusual knife made by Empire circa 1928.
The curved and beveled blade follows the contour of the citrus you are peeling.

That may be a hoof knife.

Interesting knife. Reminds me of a similar but serrated knife we had at the house when I was a child. We used it to release sections of grapefruit from the fruit, which had been halved hemispherically.

Peanut what is a hoof knife? Sounds like something to remove dirt and debris on a shoed horse.
