Here is a stock catalog picture and description of the R3583. The re-handle restoration looks nice! It is a good match on color and jigging of what I would expect the knife to look like when new and unused. The "before" handles on the OP knife are lighter to age, pocket wear, and sun exposure (in my opinion).

I also attached a picture of a R3563 which I believe provides an accurate approximation of handle color and jigging. (Not my knife; Not my picture - I wish it was mine!)

Scott - that is a beautiful restoration job on a very fine old knife! Glenn - you did good!! I really like that pattern, by the way.That main blade with the long pull and the extended swedge is just nice.

Thanks for the compliments! It was almost a shame to take that nice worn bone off for something new, but since there wasn't anything on the pile side, it made the decision easier. I gave a Scott some choices, and he went with one that I didn't have a picture of to show him. It turned out to be a good choice, it looks really good with that pattern.
