Need help on identifying a knife please.....

Post by chanceesue »

Can anyone offer information on the knife I am about to describe? It is one of a 2 piece set. I was told it was made during the Civil War era or may have just had the name Civil War in the description. It is a little over 2.5" long, the casing, unopened. It is made of buffalo horn, black on one side and the other side having a light brown to tan color in it. It has 2 blades and has R. KLAAS Soligen stamped on the larger blade, at the base of it. The other side of the blade has 2 cranes and ROSIFREI at the base. I have tried to find someone that might know something about this knife but have not been able to yet. I would appreciate any info that anyone could give me on this. Thank you. Grace to you and God bless. p-nut

Sounds like a Robert Klass Kissing Krane pen knife. Rostfrei=Stainless, so not likely as old as civil war era.

Pictures would help,
