I think that is a WWII U.S.N. Mark 1 utility knife that was rehandled with plexiglass pieces. A theater knife. Many knives, during the war, were salvaged by the troops and were handled with plexiglass from wrecked planes. Theater knives (so called because they were from a theater of war, either European or Pacific) are a whole new area of knife collecting. Some knife were repaired with brass shell casing also.
