MARBLES SEKI-JAPAN

Post by PCwizard »

I need a second option, in the photos does it look like the blade has a crack in it, right where the blade enter the bolster. I was thinking of buying this online but I'm worried.
Thanks in advance.

Horsefeathers. Shadow my Great-Aunt Gerties bloomers. Note how no matter from which side you view the knife, the "shadow" has the same shape and radiates from the back side. Now, that said, it could be simply a dark spot in the knife's finish at that spot but IMHO it is not a shadow.

Although, my son, who knows squat about knives, looked at the picture and with no prompting said, "That looks like a crack".

I am not familiar with this particular knife but I would guess it is not a crack and that it is the way the knife is constructed. Blade may be a separate piece inserted into the handle and pinned.

I agree with Wayne. It's not a "full tanged" construction. The back of the blade abuts that fixed spacer.

It's almost like a non-folding folder.

Pretty sure it's not a "shadow".

Anybody else own a similar knife?

cuz that was a utter and total pain in the ACEHOLE to ague with a buyer about something neither of us had in hand.......... and asking some ppl to wait till it gets there.....LORDY ::mdm::

not every seller is tryin ta screw buyers. ::paranoid:: (yep some are)...... i wasn't anywho  LINT!

Ok I bought them, not 1 but 2 knifes, both have the same mark.
Worse case is I return them. I have the email with him saying no crack.
Seller has a 14 day return policy.

Hard to believe that 2 are cracked the same.
With 2 blades with the same mark - I'm thinking its the way the knife is constructed
Now I just sit and wait for the 5 days shipping to Hawaii

And the wait is over, its way the knife is constructed. The back of the blade is against a fixed spacer. You see the same mark on the top of the blade. The knives are very well made and almost mint. Never used. I'm very happy with them. Full Set of photos in link below.
