A TL-29 in Manzanita and a Camillus balow in stag mods

Post by #goldpan »

A friend of mine gave me some stag a while back so I thought I would re-handle a single blade Camillus Barlow with it. I liked the way it came out!

Another friend gave me some manzanita of varying color. I chose a real dark piece for use on this TL-29 mod. It reminds me of coacabolo or rosewood. I did something different with the screwdriver blade. I call it a Hawk Bill Wharncliff. Turned out nice!

Thanks for looking!

Very nice on both!
You can take your work to a slightly higher level by adding a small forward pin to the handles. (i.e. the Barlow) On larger knives, I often add a lower center pin also. Whether they have one originally or not, it adds a nice touch and makes for a stronger overall knife.
Keep up the good work. ::tu::
