357 Bullet Folder

Post by btrwtr »

I finally finished up a folding knife and took some pictures.

This is a heavy trapper like a Remington R1123 only with stag handles. Blades and springs are ATS34, blades hardened to 58R. All fittings and pins are nickel silver. The scales are India Sambar stag cut and split from one tine to insure a match. The shield is a spent 357 magnum casing.

The master blade is flat ground and the skinning blade is hollow ground on a 10" wheel.

First folder I've made in over 10 years. Hope to be making a few more in the near future.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

Mark, That's an etch. I've been having a little trouble with etching lately but these didn't turn out too bad. Something went haywire with my homemade etching machine and I think it's finally working again.
