Eye Congress - Older or Newer?

Just added this one to the small collection of eyes and unsure of it's age. It's a 3 eye etch but it is my understanding that there are some newer production knives that revitalized the older 3 eye etch? Also is the bar shield any indication of the age? And, noticed two different tang stamps. What's the verdict on age and authenticity?

I don't disagree but educate me. What's the give away? Is it the bar shield, the bone , or it seemed to me that the etch on the blade was a smaller font but did not know if that was just because it was a smaller blade. What about the two different tang stamps?

The 1st one that just jumps out is the match striker pulls. Those seldom occur on older knives. There is 1 or two older patterns that have match striker pulls but even those do not look like these do. The bone is not typical of an older knife. Didn't get as far as checking out the etch but I'll bet it is not typical.

The handles are awesome! I would have thought that is an older knife because of the shield but I am not an expert though.... ::hmm::

Thanks! Regardless of it's age it is a good looking knife and well built.

Yep, very nice looking knife, but not an old one.
Another giveaway is that you can see the outline of the pivot pin (usually) on old Eyes.
