Sometimes it's smart to buy or trade for a knife you don't like or care anything about. Especially if two things are true: One, the price is right, and Two, someone else might like it.
Example: At a recent yard sale I bought a cheap Imperial for fifty cents. Two days later I traded it for a cheap-made Winchester commemorative probably made by Colonial. I didn't care a thing for the Winchester but I knew someone would like it.
The other day when I traded for the Remington Boy Scout I talked about in the other post on this page, I also traded that Winchester for two knives: a dirty, rusted Case XX USA balloon center whittler. As you can see it cleaned up not bad. The second knife is a nice little wood handled Boker pen. So I got these two decent knives for my investment of 50 cents. Just had to know what appeals to some people and do a little creative trading.

Do you have a group of "non-knowledgeable knifers" you keep close by, or at the diner or something?
