1st generation?

I know there are several different variations of stag on the first generation. I have seen light and dark, deeper groves etc. just curious if this looks right. I can't tell without holding them but I believe everything else looks good and was curious if any of you could tell just by looking. Thanks.

Thanks. Is it the stag or something else? The stag stood out to me, but wasn't sure.

The stag looks like the knives that were put together around 2000. Jim Parker said there were a lot of unfinished knives in Gronayers's vault at the Olbertz factory hat were not finished out and he bought them and finished them with the European stag. Collectors know these knives are not the early knives, a lot of dealers separate them out at the shows. These knives have blades with the old dates but the stag is the giveaway. They are good quality knives. Just how many we're finished or actually produced during that era is unknown.i believe that other knives besides the so called "vault" knives were produced during this period as well. I hope this helps and thanks for posting it.

You mention the vault knives. I see several for sale. Were any of them actually full complete knives that were found, or were they all just parts and assembled by parker?
The attached knife is an example. Says vault knife and is written as it was found intact.
Thanks for any knowledge.
