I don't know if Yamanaka is the name of a city in Japan or the name of the company that made this knife. It's 3 3/16" long and feels like pretty good quality. Does anyone know anything about the company or when this knife was made? Thanks, Al

A little bit of research with Google shows they used another tang stamp - Yamanaka Works Japan - so I would say that's the company name. Here's one like yours that sold on eBay -

Thanks Jerry. That Ebay knife is almost identical. It sold for $4.00 including shipping. I'm always curious about who made a knife and if they are still in business. The knife looks to me like it's from the 1950's or early 1960's. Japan was not known for high quality knick knacks during that period so I'm a little surprised at the quality of this little pocket knife. Thanks again, Al
