I just had to pull the trigger on this Red Bone Mini Trapper today. 2008 , 6207 2X with a couple dots. The 6254 trapper is a 2007, 3X. I do like my Buck slimline too. i guess I like trappers more than I thought.

I don't actively seek out trappers but there are so many of them
it's just about impossible not to acquire some.
I do like the 07 size better than the 54.
Think I saw in another thread Case has made more 54 trappers
than McDonald's has hamburgers.
Now if McDonalds starts making commemorative burgers
it's going to be a closer contest. ::nod::

I own two Case Trappers, both 54's. The Curly Maple was mfg in 1991 (as a 1992 Commemorative for NCGCA) and was a gift from a buddy who owned a gunshop. The blue bone OIF Commemorative knife was mfg in 2003 and sold by Lowe's in 2003 & 2004 - I watched them sell down and then become discounted (Lowe's always discounts limited run merchandise as it sells down) and snagged it for around $45.00 when it was the last one at my local Lowe's store. I really wanted one with the Third US Army insignia on it, but Case only released the Army Divisions that participated in the 2003 Invasion of Iraq; they neglected V CORPS and 3rd Army.

Great looking knives guys. Mike I can't down load yours because of my slow connection. I am sure it is a beauty.

This is my first red bone and my first new Case. I guess it is fitting that it be a trapper. Pretty classic. I narrowed it down between it and a stag handled. I guess it will be next.

Here's a few of mine. The one in the center is, of course a '77 blue scroll. The other two are both '70 10 dots.

Nice trappers! Seems like I have quite a few of them myself, and -47 pattern stock knives, so I must like them too. ::tu:: 2 of my first knives since I got into collecting were a pair of Case -54 pattern trappers. That cranberry bone silver script is one, the blue Colt is an -07 mini trapper.

Thanks, zp4ja and redrider. I think those silver script shields are the best thing case has done with a shield in a long time. And the cranberry bone is purty sweet too!

I've never been much of a trapper style knife guy (even though I own half a dozen), but these "Script Logo" Case's and especially the Colt Commemorative will have me out looking. Love that red bone ten dot too!
