German Corkscrew Knife

Hi, I acquired this German corkscrew knife. It is over 4 inches long. The handles made from some faux ivory (maybe bakelite?) not celluloid. Carl Schmidt is mentioned in Goins book, but not with the Sohn or the church mark. Sohn obviously German for son so probably made for the German market. Has anyone seen this mark before or know any more about Carl Schmidt and Sohn? I was wondering how old it might be. Thanks.

. I need to get myself a Levine's book. IMO not 19th cent. Maybe just prior to WW1 or between the wars but just a guess based on looking at it
