Most if not all of these are made by Great Eastern. Queen is making a few for Bulldog too.

Here is one you hardly ever see, a 1996 Queen made Bulldog moose.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... K:MEWAX:IT

In 1995 Queen made some sowbelly whittlers for Bulldog, and these are documented in the Pocket Knife Traders Guide pg 69 of vol 8. However, not mentioned, were these 1996 moose patterns. This is only the 2nd time I've seen one on the internet, and I bought the other one (from Hukk if I remember right). Unfortunately, they had celluloid handles. You can see where they are pulling away from the bolsters and corroding the tops of the blades and edges of the bolsters. I am so afraid of celluloid that I had my handles replaced with smooth white bone before any other damage was done. The '96 moose is the only USA Bulldog with the standing dog (4th generation) tang stamp. On the back of the main blades on both the '95 & '96 knives is the tang stamp BULLDOG BRAND over OIL HARDENED over MADE IN USA.

Ain't it though Gary? ::drool:: I like it a lot.....OK....I love it! LOL. Rustle, I like that white bone handled moose after the re-handle job better than it was before. ::tu:: It's one of my favorite patterns to accumulate, though I wouldn't think twice about accumulating that Sheep Horn Mountain Man if I could.
Hukk is the go to man for all Bull Dog brand. He's saved me from stepping into a pile of sh......uh... well, let's just say he saved me from spending some money foolishly and put me onto some nice knives that I didn't have to worry if they were put togethers from different generations of Bull Dogs, or just plain fakes, after he looked at them and gave the yes or no nod. I never really got to thank him so, Thanks Hukk for doing that for me. Even though you had never met me before (on the INTERNET or any where else). You are a good example of what an older, more knowledgeable knife collector should be and do for the great hobby of knife collecting (and in my case knife accumulating), and your a good man to boot. I still have that picture you sent me of that real Bull Dog knives set beside those fake Bull Dog knives, and your notes of you pointing out the difference in the handle pins, the difference in the stag handles (one stag being right, and the other being European deer stag), and the match striker pull teeth that had the wrong amount of teeth in the long pull on the blade than the real Bull Dog knives. I printed it all out and then had it super sized into a picture. It now hangs on my wall, above my work bench with Hukk's name at the top of it where it says,..From HUKK = The all knowing Bull Dog Guru.
Thanks again Hukk.

Aimus

Edit for question: Is the 2 bladed Ram's Horn handled Mountain Man Bull Dog knife that Rustle posted, and the single bladed Ram's Horn handled Bull Dog knife that Mike posted the same over all length size and blade steel? Rustle's 2 bladed Ram's Horn knife was made by Queen Cutlery, and Mike's 1 bladed Ram's Horn knife was made by GEC, correct?
It would be hard to make a choice of which one of the two is better quality.
All of the posted knives were nice.
Good work guys and let's see some more of them. ::nod::

The laser cut pearl by Queen is interesting. That must take a lot of time.

Hey Rustle47, really love the moose knife. The bolsters really stand out for me!
Slanted, fluted and pinched--they have it all.

Who could blame you for changing the handle material? Not only did you save
a great knife, but now the celluloid can't attack any other knife in your collection.
