Some real fine looking knives there Dave !!!

KJ-that Cowboy has the 2002-2005 stamp on it, they did not make many past 2004...
it was made in Gladstone...once the USA was added to the Banner stamp,
Camilus made alot of the blades and they were put together in Gladstone
anything from 1998-2004 was all made in Michigan

I might add...in 2006 Only...they made some Guthooks, Ideals, Woodcrafts, and Sports
all " Limited Edition" etched on the blades..Only 100 of each model made..and they were all
made with a combo of Stag, Stacked Leather handles with Stag Pommels
I do not know where the blades came from, but they were very well made Customs

Here an old carbon Colonial I gut my nephew for our moose hunt for me it was a great find for the occasion with nice full blade ,and his Bick 110 I had to repair the tip and find him new shieths.

What model is the Bark River ?

Thanks KJ. It's a Bark River Journeyman. I have another with a cocobolo handle, pictured below, and I purchased both from a fellow collector here on AAPK.

The Journeyman is a new one to me. Very Attractive ! Is intended use Bush Craft & self defense ?
Bark River has probably brought out around 200 different patterns in the last 10 years. They are first rate knives.

KJ, I was told by the collector I bought the Barkies from that the Journeyman was one of the "early patterns". It is a good bush knife and I imagine it would do well as a defense weapon too. The steel takes a wicked edge. I haven't used the first run with the red linen micarta handle but the cocobolo has been afield with me a couple of times since I acquired it. I have no complaints.

Here are 4 old B. G. I., Bridgeport Gun and Implement Co. Bowie hunting knives. Goins says these date c. 1898. I have always been interested in very early Bowie hunting knives. They are caught in a time between the real period Bowie knives and the true sporting type hunting knives that were introduced in the early 1900's.

The smallest blade is 5 1/2" measured from the hilt. The largest blade is a full 9" and has nearly all of it's original finish intact. Oddly this knife has ebony wood handles and no guard. I have always thought that this large knife may have been an unfinished "lunchbox or backdoor knife". The handles appear to be professionally installed, perhaps by a factory worker.

Those are just outstanding Wayne. The look of the spear and dagger blades just blows my skirt up.

Here's a new acquisition... This one, is one of the 1998 special run of Marbles Ideal knives, made with blades they found stored away from 1939. This one is Stag on Leather.

Ps the Mora serrated is unbelievably sharp.

The Mora knives are The Best Deal of All FB's. Whether you get the basic $15 Mora or splurge and buy a $30 one, the blade is super sharp and they edge hold better than the majority of FB's of any price.
If you have never tried a Mora i suggest you treat yourself to a new one, be sure to spend under $30. You will smile ear to ear when you use it, they are such a treat.

I see these at gunshows for that amount kj, 15 bucks. Next show I'll have to bring one home.

I've had a Mora knife or two over the years and I agree they are a good value, bang for the buck. The Swedish steel is good quality and does hold an edge well.

Here's another low priced prize. It's a handy utility knife and also holds and edge well, light weight but big enough to be widely useful. I even use this one in the kitchen at home as well as in camp.

Exactly! Historically significant, the steel and blade made during the middle of FDR's presidency. Cool idea for Stewart and the Lauerman's (Marbles owners) back in 1998, to issue these.

Purchased this to be USED on my missions with the kids.
