Everything. The stout bolster, the classic look, the solid construction, the beauty of elegance, the blade choices, all of it. And then some.
Nice. ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu:: ::nod:: :)

My first Barlow. Nothing fancy nor rare, but I just wanted to get a decent enough example to get an idea on the Barlow type. Right off the bat I like the length and heft, it is just right in my opinion for a pocket knife. Been using it all week and am happy with it, will have to start looking for better Barlows ::tu::

The Barlow is a dandy little knife and a good working size. The imperial is a nice starter. And like Doglegg said, it is a slippery slope. Welcome to the addiction.

This Ulster set is unusual in so many ways, Ulster Knife Co tang stamp, pattern numbers on back of tang except the one arm, both blades tang stamped, later knives only have main stamped, great grinds to the blades, never seen another of the one arms. They are higher quality than the later knives.

John here is an unusual Ulster. Look at the blade pattern and placement of the pull.

Bill, Darrell, thank you. Darrell that Ulster you have has a very unusual grind, don't recall seeing anything like it, very nice.

Here is my lovely Ulster Old Timer Barlow which I found in a pawn shop in Gravette AR a few months ago.
This won't be an EDC due to the slightly wobbly blades, but still, it's a lovely old knife.
