My dad gave me this baby in the early 60’s. Something about the Barlow design that just works. Now learning the family involved with colonial knives are great people.

Added another to my Barlow Box. A Camillus Long Line tang stamp Pattern 50 with the spear main blade. It was dirty with some rust, but had full blades.Cleaned up nicely and has great snap on both blades.
I also picked this one up. A Colonial, I believe from 2005. It has the new Colonial Tang Stamp with 05 in the center. Like new, Wood handles.

Great find Ike!
I've been looking for a long time for one of these to add to my Barlow collection.
So far, no luck, but the hunt continues......

Love the Ka-Bar-Lo Ike, good find
This Witte Hardware Co St. Louis Barlow touches all the bases for a vintage Barlow collector, faceted bolster with a nice bolster stamp, spey main, jigged bone handles, square joints, very unusual Barlow.

Unusually beautiful, well not for your posts, but the knife is in a class by itself. Another knock out, out of the park, top of the heap, museum piece. Wow. Incredible show.

Not to hijack this thread, but I didn't want to create a new topic nor do I know where to post this question, but what is the draw with Barlows? I am not asking sarcastically, I have never owned or handled one so I am legitimately naive here. I see them all over, is the style more comfortable or is it more of a traditionalist appeal?

There is no one answer my friend. They are steeped in history, most companies made a Barlow of some kind, a lot o' boys, me included got one as their first knife, they are solid work knives, and just go back so far in knife lore. And most people who like traditional's love a Barlow. Welcome to the forum.

Everything. The stout bolster, the classic look, the solid construction, the beauty of elegance, the blade choices, all of it. And then some.
