Junior Brown is a "Hoss". He and his wife and his one-drum drummer sound like a 6 piece band.
Definitely support them and all your favorites. I can tell you from the inside, musicians are in a real hurt. The nature of how they are paid and, sadly, how they report their earnings has left many of them not qualifying for relief in a lot of states. Buy their downloads and any other way you can help. I'll have to try to go through youtube because I never have and never will use Facebook .. it's evitlol
On YouTube now, live as of my typing this. Every Wednesday and Saturday at 6 PM Central. Great show! Starts and ends with a couple of his old music videos, in between is over 90 minutes of live music.

Great video! Real shame about both of them. Ever heard his EVANGELINA ? Mom, Mae Axton, wrote "Heartbreak Hotel", big Elvis hit.
Stanwade: With you on the Facebook thing. J.O'.
Yes, FB and other big tech social media have a big hand in the societal rot going on right now...JMHO...

I've seen Junior Brown a few times at the Birchmere in Arlandria, he's quite entertaining. The first time he had a stand-up bass player with him, that was a real treat.
The Gentle Giant... I've been sharpening some knives and listening to a playlist of his songs... doesn't get much better...

Don Williams was always one that I enjoyed. Thanks for that one Ryan - one of many great songs he did.
Hereโs one I think I posted a few years ago. Just heard it again which reminded me what amazing talent some songwriters have for making great songs from common events. In this case an uncommon, but well known event. This one will get your toe tappin too.

Thanks, Ken.. I'm putting it on YouTube on my tv right now...
I think I posted this before.. well no matter, it needs posted again .. Eddie's guitar work in this one is just off the charts!!.. his tone is all in his fingers, no effect peddles, gimmicks, etc... I believe he is all of 22 years old here.. if only the Lord let us have him a little longer...RIP, Eddie.. you will not be forgotten... and oh-- I've said it before-The Rolling Stones top 100 guitarist list is laughable .. Not saying Eddie was the best ever, but they put Kurt effen' Cobain in the top 10 I believe.. get real...

Ryan I believe Eddy was about 18 when that was made. He was touring with the Allman Brothers when he was 14. I was fortunate to see him with his dad Billy Joe Shaver sometime mid-90s after their album โTramp on Your Streetโ was released. Best guitar player Iโve ever seen live, and Iโve seen some good ones. Eddy was in Dwight Yoakumโs band for a few years so thereโs some good stuff on YouTube from those days. Sometimes his guitar picking stole the show from Dwight but of course you have to listen because the camera was usually on Dwight.
Hereโs a good example - Eddy shreds it with a guitar solo starting at about 2:20 into this.

Thanks for that, Ken! I've seen most videos of Eddie playing with whoever.. He toured with Guy Clark when Guynplugged in for awhile in the late 70s early 80s... What a talented player.. all in his fingers...
Here's a few I've posted before, I'll post them again .. I believe Eddie is 17 or 18 in these two..
