Nice find Joe, really goes well with that beautiful congress whittler.

Here is a large 4 1/8" Waterville Congress with pretty fancy liners for the time.

You can send me your address, and you just may get a surprise sometime, but it probably won't be a Waterville. :D

Thank you for the comments, Bill, Floyd, John, Joe, and the WMSR engineer. I appreciate it.

Back in November 2022, my trip to the post office produced this WATERVILLE pocket knife. It now becomes my first example to be posted under this topic or thread. It also made a most welcome addition to my general, pocket knife accumulation. It is a WATERVILLE, three blades, 3 5/8" closed, three tang stamps, swelled center, a long matchstrike or blade pull, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says, "WATERVILLE (over) CUTLERY CO. (over) CONN." The secondary blade back tang stamp says, "WATERVILLE (over) CUTLERY CO. (over) CONN." The third blade front tang stamp says, "WATERVILLE (over) CUTLERY CO. (over) CONN." The main blade does have a CRISP half stop. The main blade does have a VERY GOOD opening snap. The main blade does have a VERY GOOD closing snap. The secondary blade does have a CRISP half stop. The secondary blade does have a VERY GOOD opening snap. The secondary blade does have a VERY GOOD closing snap. The third blade does have a CRISP half stop. The third blade does have a VERY GOOD opening snap. The third blade does have a VERY GOOD closing snap. This pocket knife is in EXCELLENT condition. This pocket knife did NOT require any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.
