red stag whittler

i traded for a 2008 3 bladed case xx whittler R5383. It has the red stag handles with the xx bar shield, i looked at the ebay auctions but didnt see any like it but the other case knives with the red stag and bar shield say they are a rare find. just would like to know if this knife has much value before i give it away or use it in another trade. it mint in the org. box, thanks littled

The word "rare" in association with eBay auctions is about as meaningful as the word "gesundheit" after a sneeze.

The last few I could find on flea bay sold in the 55.00 range new in box.

here is a picture of the knife. where did you see a auction on flea bay that had one like this listed, i tired looking but my search only turned up other styles.

The term "Rare Finds" is one given by Case on certain low runs. I think there's info about it on their web site.

found one that sold on the bay back in June for 46.00. I would say that's probably slightly more than 1/2 of what it sold new.. Have not found that yet but I would say new in the 70.00 to 75.00 range.
